  • Arthritis Surgery
  • Sports Medicine

Dr. Timothy Gray, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, has been associated with the Bonutti Clinic since 1993. Dr. Gray’s practice focus brings an important balance to Bonutti Clinic’s orthopedic services. Dr. Gray specializes in knee and shoulder surgery, arthroscopy, arthritis surgery and joint replacement. Over the past few years, he has been known to be a "pioneer" performing techniques new to the world with the research being done right here in Effingham community.

Dr. Gray is proud to be an active community member of the greater Effingham area. As a lifelong Illinois resident he has spent much of his time involved with his four children's sports as a coach and/or cheerleader and is happy to call himself a relocated St. Anthony Bulldog fan.

Knowing the responsibilities and experience of a parent, Dr Gray has not forgotten the less fortunate children in Central Illinois. He donates his time for the Elks performing free clinics for the past 4 years evaluating pediatric patients for treatment as well as screening for more specialized care. He has also held annual Orthopedic Clinics for the Shriners, identifying children who will benefit from the specialized care available at their Hospital in St. Louis.

Besides practicing medicine in the greater Effingham area, Dr. Gray has been involved with hospital innovations and administration at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham. He has served on multiple administrative levels as a liaison between the medical staff and the Hospital including the By-Laws Committee, Chief of Surgery, and on Peer Review Committee. He has also served as President of the Medical Staff at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital as well as Vice President of the Medical Staff and is currently on the Board of Directors.

Dr. Gray also has demonstrated a long standing commitment to not only Effingham but the surrounding area. He continues an active outreach clinic into surrounding hospitals that do not have the ability to offer orthopedic care. He has provided care at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL and Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL in the past and is currently providing outreach to Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL.
